TIP
OF THE ICEBERG

Attorney
General Roy Cooper talks about need for parents to protect children
on the internet. However, the parents have no idea about the potential
for danger much less have the ability or desire to supervise their
child's internet activity much less sit down for a family meal with
them. Sometimes these parents encourage their children in ways that
should be criminal.
A story
by MSNBC about how children as young as 9 years-old are being legally
used for sexual gratification by scores of perverts and no one can
do anything to stop it. Read

Children on the Internet

Your
child can find a chatroom on AOL, within seconds of signing online,
with adult men and women eager to talk with them about topics such
as: masturbation, group sex, voyeurism, pedophilia, incest. Some
will also suggest that they take explicit photos of themselves to
trade with others. Some will want your child participate in "cybersex",
a form of sexually explicit dialogue created with the purpose of
sexual gratification, to call them on the phone enticing them into
a sexual conversation called "phone-sex" and/or ultimately
encourage them to meet with them without your knowledge. Teens,
spending a good deal of their time isolated from family, are particularly
susceptible to such perverted temptations .Nearly every teen that
has been in a chatroom has experienced contact from someone attempting
to involve them into a dangerous form of perverse entertainment.

CHILD
RAPIST CAUGHT AFTER RELEASE OF VICTIM'S PICTURE
Child pornographer
Matthew Mancuso, currently serving a 15 year sentence for child
pornography charges stemming from an arrest 2 years ago in Pittsburgh
has been identified as the sex offender in an international manhunt.
A search went out after Canadian authorities released images of
a sex crime committed at Disney World. The images were believed
to be taken over 5 years ago and each photo released carefully removed
the child victim's image.
Orange County
authorities made a controversial decision to release a photo, to
the media, of a child back in early May that they labeled a "material
witness" in this crime.
After the photo
was released the child was identified and Mancuso became the suspect
of her molestation.
