ANNOUNCEMENTS

Show host, Marc Benson, has announced his retirement from law enforcement effective July 18, 2004. He served the Pender County Sheriff, Carson Smith as deputy.

While the fight will still be in Marc to settle crime issues he will now be working to do so in the private sector. It is with mixed emotions that he said his final goodbyes to his fellow compatriots in Pender and offers all law enforcement officers his continued support and best wishes.

Marc served 24 years in law enforcement and deserves the opportunities afforded him in his new endeavors.

The very first broadcast of the BLUELINE RADIO was on Saturday, February 21, 2004. All of us connected with the program are excited about the show. We hope that you will be patient with us as we feel our way through the process. Certainly the first show will be totally unlike the 20th show, our hope is that you will help guide us by emailing us your comments.

The idea behind this program is to help bring about an awareness to the listening community about law enforcement. We want a comfortable partnership to develop between citizens and those sworn to protect and serve. A partnership that will aid in reducing crime and adding to the quality of life that we all seek. The program is a community service offered by its creators.

We have guests on the show every now and then to talk about current issues. Mostly we talk about crime issues and as we discuss it we bring to the audience an investigative look into the situations. Marc Benson, the show's host is a 24 year veteran law enforcement officer. His extensive training and experience lends the necessary authoritative voice to many topics. Tre benson, the shows co-host offers statistical data to shed light into the problems law enforcement officers and the community faces to fight crime and criminals.

The show covers a six county area, broadcasting from two towers in the southeastern section of North Carolina. The is plenty of crime to talk about and plenty of topics to choose from. Listeners are encouraged to call in.

Thank you to the entire station at Sea-Comm Media particularly the station's Vice President and general manager, Paul Knight. Not many of you know this but, Paul has a law enforcement background (maybe this is why he has been so supportive). Thanks Paul we won't let you down!

We would also like to thank those of you that have expressed interest in advertising on the show. Hopefully we will soon be off to a good start and will be able to focus on adding you to our team. Give us a few more weeks to iron out the kinks.

Wish us luck!
