a couple in Onslow County.
The
Kayla Allen story was also brought up and again we heard
from her birth mother, Nicole Allen late in the program.

us and why it is so important.

TALK
ABOUT MORTALITY
We
discussed the high rates of death among officers. Stress,
environmental toxins, homicides, accidents and suicide are
all problems that plague law enforcement officers in higher
rates than any other professions.
We
also hit on the EX CON who "a-l-l-e-g-e-d-l-y"
kidnaped, raped, robbed a Wilmington brother and sister.
He should have not been released from prison, or so we say.

BOLO
- Murder suspect on the loose
This
week's show was mostly keeping our listeners aware of a
murder suspect on the loose. We frequently gave out the
vehicle descriptions and plate numbers.
We
had a few callers voicing their disappointment with the
city's selection of finalists for the Chief of Police position.
The concern was there was a lack of serious effort to include
a local candidate in the search.
Recent
news items were discussed. Naked drive thru customer at
Bo-Jangles. Gunshot victim we nicknamed "ricochet"
who was shot for the third time this past week. Salute to
a fallen officer from the NHSO back in the 1930's.A tip
of the hat to Lt. Detective Morgan of the Raleigh Police
for coming back from retirement to finish up a murder investigation
that just got new leads.

Domestic
Violence
With
the two recent murders of UNCW students by men they had
accused of stalking them has caused a serious concern for
protection.
We
reported on the Walk to Remember event to "Stomp out
child abuse" in Jacksonville earlier today. This brought
up the issue of child abuse and Marc had just recently gone
on a call to a residence that had two toddlers left alone
in a house over night. His discription of the living environment
was vivid in it's detail of a discusting house that literally
will take your breath away.
