DEADLY PLANE CRASH LEAVES BEHIND SERIOUS QUESTIONS

It is assumed by authorities that Bracey Myron Bobbitt, 56 was piloting the airplane that was especially equipped to land and take off in the waters around Wrightsville Beach. Bobbitt's body was found Tuesday a half of a mile off of Figure Eight Island. The body of 46-year-old Cathy Hathaway was found in the plane's floating tail section Sunday morning.

The deadly crash leaves behind a mystery. Why was the plane flying under radar for so long? What was the reason behind the flight? What caused the plane to crash? Authorities have reported to the Blue Line that this mystery may be solved when the tide comes in.
Bobbitt led a different flamboyant lifestyle than most. Constantly involved with explaining himself and the circumstances surrounding his violent past to law enforcement.

Bobbitt would be an ideal suspect in a scandal involving an overloaded drug plane failing and faltering into the sea. Yet more than likely he would be the perfect suspect in an act of reckless violence that ended in the death of a beautiful woman. Wait, he already has been, in 2003 he was engaged to Nancy Ann Coursey, a 1998 Penthouse Pet of the Year who went by the name of Paige Summers, Coursey died of a combination of a Codeine and Oxycontin drug overdose in Bobbitt's mountain home. Bobbitt is a Pharmacist. Arrested for Assault on a Female in 1995 and served a Domestic Violence Protective Order in April of 2005. Bobbitt has a past that includes another crashed airplane, fast cars, brush fires and a bullet wound to his leg. Bobbitt has also been in trouble with the NC Board of Pharmacy because of his "habitual" use of drugs.
So why was this Seawind 3000 flying without a flight plan? Why was it flying so low, below radar detection for at least an hour? Was it foolish shenanigans fueled by intoxicants or was it something more sinister?
Crowds will soon start to line up along shore to see what the tide brings in.

Side note: We at the Blue Line knew Cathy Hathaway years ago. A lot of people around Wrightsville Beach knew her. She was a delightful person and we are certain she will be missed by the many who knew her. We only know of Mr. Bobbitt and find it hard to believe that Cathy knew of his dangerous past or encouraged his reckless behavior.
