FAMILY
WANTS ANSWERS IN DAUGHTER'S DISAPPEARANCE
January
3, 2006
BROADWAY, N.C. -- Witnesses say a masked gunman snatched a woman
from a home in Lee County early Monday morning, but investigators
are being tight-lipped about the case.
Investigators say Julie Michelle Bullard was last seen hanging out
with friends in a home early Monday morning. According to authorities,
a masked man surprised the group, breaking through the door with
a gun.
Detectives say the masked man tied everyone up and left with Bullard.
They said there is no indication that any of the victims knew the
masked man. The Landlord, of the home that was invaded, told us
that he would be surprised if the motive was robbery because the
male tenant named Will, was two months late on his rent and was
about to be evicted.
Search crews from Lee, Harnett and Moore counties combed through
fields. Divers also checked a nearby pond, but there was no sign
of Bullard.
Investigators met with family members Tuesday, but investigators
will not release details of the meeting or the latest on the search.
Bullard's father said he will not rest until she is found. He formed
a private search group Monday night with friends and family to keep
looking for her.
Bullard is described as being 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighs 105-115
pounds. She also has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen
wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
According to the family, the suspected kidnapper is in his mid-thirties,
he is white, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a camouflage
jacket and blue jeans. Anyone with information about
Bullard's whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities immediately.

BROADWAY,
NC- (March 10,2006) The official Medical Examiner's report
from the autopsy of the remains of David Earl Wilson
show that law enforcement considered Wilson a suspect in the January
2, 2006 armed abduction of Julie Michelle Bullard.
Wilson, a previously convicted cold-blooded murderer, shot himself
as a deputy approached his car the same day that Michelle Bullard
was abducted by a masked gunman. All three witnesses have identified
Wilson from a photo line-up and have identified the large .44 caliber
handgun used in the home invasion and abduction as the same gun
Wilson used to shoot himself.

JANUARY
9- Monday morning got off to a positive start. Scent dogs
were accompanied by approximately 50 members of State, Harnett and
Lee County Deputies were on hand. A medical ambulance stood by in
case of injury to searchers, the Red Cross provided catering and a
State Highway Patrol Helicopter made a showing. The search area was
in Harnett County just beyond the Lee County border down a long narrow
unpaved road and just west of the Cape Fear River. It is reported
by authorities that live scent dogs, brought in Thursday by Lee County,
picked up a scent worthy of the massive efforts seen today. Other
dogs were later brought in but nothing more developed. A team of 20
or so trained searchers, brought in from the Department of Corrections,
organized one of those shoulder to shoulder searches through the woods.
The search suspended at 4:30 and there was no indication that the
search would continue at that location tomorrow. |

UPDATE
SUNDAY 1/8
Search and Rescue
dogs continued to work the woods and roads near the crime scene.
Law enforcement found two sets of latex gloves in two separate locations
today. Because these gloves were found in unusual locations they
were collected as evidence. Even if the gloves do not turn out to
have a relationship to the crime, it is an indication as to the
amount of effort expended by those searching that no rock is left
unturned. Any item out of place is being examined thoroughly. If
there is evidence to be found, it will be found soon.

SATURDAY 1/7

Family holds
tight as their daughter, Michelle Bullard remains missing.
A $10,000 reward offer for information leading
to the whereabouts of the Michelle Bullard may bring about some
important leads in a case that has worried a small rural community
in Broadway, NC since Monday.
Family members took comfort in the candle light vigil held Saturday
night. Lee County Sheriff Bryant told the audience
that the dogs that were working, "were some of the best in
the world" he said that they will remain as long as they are
needed. The dogs are working hard tracking lingering live scents
near the crime scene.
Sheriff Bryant also told the group gathered to pray for Michelle
that he personally knows Michelle from eating at the Fairview
Dairy Bar in Sanford where she works and misses her welcoming
personality.

UPDATE
FRIDAY 1/6
Search and Rescue
dogs were brought in today and left the crime scene on a "hit"
traveling east on Bradley. Believe it or not these dogs can get
a scent hit of a vehicle that had at onetime carried the person
being searched for. This find is now directing the tracking off
the property of the crime scene. Following these dogs can be an
exhaustive task, some of these dogs run while they track the air
scent and can do so for miles. It is common for the humans to tire
before the dogs will. These dogs are the new leaders of the investigation
and depending on wind and weather the search will continue in the
morning. For more on Search And Rescue (SAR) dogs click

THURS 1/5
A newsworthy item that may have a potential link to the abduction
is the recent arrest last week of 22 members of a burglary ring
that targeted houses in neighboring Harnett County. Ages of those
arrested varied from 33 to 13. Sheriff Larry Rollins
in Lillington said that the thefts took place mostly in the Anderson
Creek area, including the Old Farm, Lake Charles, Killdeer and Country
Squire residential areas. Apparently someone tipped off authorities
leading to the arrests.

Nancy
Grace covered the abduction on her CNN talk show. Michelle's
mother was a guest via satellite hookup from Raleigh.

UPDATE
WEDNESDAY 1/4
David
E. Wilson 49, killed himself Monday a couple of miles away
from the crime scene and half a mile or so from his house. When
Wilson was approached by a sheriff deputy he shot himself in the
chest. Our investigation found that Wilson
was convicted of second degree murder in 1975 for the murder
of Thomas C. Corney at the Sundown Lounge in Cumberland
County. Wilson was kicked out of the bar earlier and said he would
return to kill Corney. He returned with a gun and shot Mr. Corney.
Clarence Jacobs, a patron of the bar fired his own weapon
at fleeing Wilson striking Wilson in the leg. Wilson was sentenced
to 40-60 years in prison in '75 after pleading down to 2nd Degree
Murder and was released from parole in 2003. The DOC lists his height
as 5'10 inches (it has been reported that
the suspected kidnapper is in his mid-thirties, he is white, approximately
5 feet,8 inches tall) with brown hair and brown eyes,
he had numerous infractions while in prison, including assault,
weapons possession, drugs, creating an offensive condition and September
1980 escape with another inmate from the Wagram Prison. Wilson was
captured in Flint, Michigan after a high speed chase and crash that
injured Wilson and killed the fellow inmate whom he had escaped
with 3 weeks earlier.

All solicitations
for donations should be carefully examined. You want to know the
accountability of the funds. Who gets them and for what purpose.
Is the fundraiser a 501(c) IRS recognized non-profit? While the
majority of these fundraiser's are legitimate there still needs
to be a authorized group behind the request for donations that are
