It is the job of the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office to keep tabs on sex offenders living in the County and yet for the second time that we checked New Hanover County has more sex offenders with unverifiable addresses than even Charlotte's Mecklenburg County. Pender has one, Onslow has zero. Brunswick has 2. These are sex offenders that can be extremely dangerous to our loved ones, so where are they?

Ellis Steele Guy was missing earlier this year and I ended up finding him less than 300 yards from my niece and her neighborhood playmates. Was he charged? No! He is missing once again, failing to verify his address. I spoke with the mother of one of Mr. Guy's victims and she is very concerned that he will re-offend.
